Can colleges detect AI in college essays? Sometimes, but that’s not the real issue. More importantly, AOs can recognize when parents have helped too much or when the writing doesn’t sound like a rising senior or a senior. My question for you is why do you think you need AI to write for you?
You don’t. AI is a tool that can help you brainstorm, spell, check, proofread, but beyond that, you’re on shaky ground. You are the world’s leading expert on you. AI can’t compete with that.

The answer is sometimes. Sometimes AI detectors even produce false positives. More importantly, AOs can recognize when parents have helped too much, or when the writing doesn’t sound like a rising senior.
